I am currently running an Instagram Giveaway, so please consider entering if you’re interested in potentially receiving a physical copy of an ARC for BONES OF JADE, FLESH LIKE ICE and some swag! You can find the post here. It’s open to my friends in the US & Canada, and the winner will be selected October 1st.

I’m also so delighted to share that I received a STARRED review with Publisher’s Weekly. I am new to this whole publishing thing, so when my agent told me this, I was happy but not entirely sure what it meant. A starred review with Publisher’s Weekly is a HUGE deal apparently, and it signals to booksellers & librarians that my book is QuAliTyyyy. So WOW.

You can find the full review here.

We are about six weeks out from official release, and I am absolutely stoked. As always, please consider preordering BONES OF JADE, FLESH LIKE ICE. Preorders are super SUPER important, especially for debut authors like me. They signal to the publisher that this is a book that people want, and is one of the best ways to help with numbers for big bestseller lists. You can find preorder links here.

You may have noticed that my newsletter comes from a different platform! I’ve been using Substack to send out newsletters for my job at the public library and I’ve just found it to be more intuitive to me, so I decided to migrate my writing newsletter here too! Thank you for your patience, and for letting me know if anything is not showing up correctly! 😸

Bones of Jade, Flesh Like Ice will be coming soon to the UK with Bedford Square Publishers, and I am so so pleased to be working with them to bring Yu’er’s story to more readers! And just look at the stunning cover:

As a reminder, anyone who preorders Bones of Jade, Flesh Like Ice is eligible for some pretty cool incentives, including a signed custom bookplate, three tarot art prints of the main characters, and one exclusive Taiwanese icons sticker! Once you’ve preordered, be sure to fill out this google form so I know where to send the goodies!
